Nature View of the River Dart

Rewilding tours

Overview

Friday 19 June and Friday 19 July, 7pm to 8.45pm

Come along and join us on a fantastic opportunity to walk around the riverside landscape being rewilded at Sharpham with Jack Skuse, who leads our rewilding project. Jack is a Director at Ambios, managing the rewilding of 50 acres of Sharpham land alongside the River Dart.

There will be plenty of opportunities to spot wildlife as you ramble along the footpaths and through the meadows.

Families are welcome. We will be walking at a gentle pace, with stopping points but there will be tall, tussocky vegetation, uphill sections and uneven ground.

We will cover approx 2 km in total. Thus minimum age of children is 7 years, babes in carriers are welcome (no push chairs).

Sorry, no dogs allowed (as some areas where we will be walking will be off footpaths where there are livestock and ground nesting birds/mammals)

This day is for you if you are:

  • You are looking to discover more about rewilding
  • Interested in learning more about the natural world in the Dart Valley
  • A fan of The Great Outdoors
  • Looking for a fascinating wildlife event
