12th February, 2017
Our Tree Care Day 2017 was cold - but we felt the glow of new volunteers.
People who'd never volunteered before at Sharpham joined us for a day in our orchards, overseen by our gardener Jesse Hammond.
He helped the team, who turned out on the chilly morning of February 12, to tidy up, prune and label our fruit trees.
The trees were planted by Jesse's predecessor Ben Pike and our organic orchards have apples, pears, plums and even a medlar.
Thanks to the efforts of our volunteer team, the orchards have been prepped for the season - ready to grow and flourish!
