Volunteer with us
As a volunteer, you can make a real difference to The Sharpham Trust. And you'll learn or burnish skills at the same time.
We run weekly volunteer days that give you the chance to meet new people, learn a new skill, connect with nature and get active in beautiful and inspiring surroundings alongside the River Dart in a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
You’ll be part of a friendly, sociable family of people who:
- help in our historic and tranquil gardens and Estate
- contribute to looking after the beautiful wild Estate
- volunteer for up to a year supporting our retreat programme
- support our public events
We recognise the positive value of diversity, promoting equity and celebrating inclusion. We welcome and encourage applications from people of all backgrounds.
"Volunteering at Sharpham and with several other organisations has been instrumental in me securing my new job as an Engagement Ranger at Torbay Coast and Countryside Trust based at Berry Head. I will be working full-time from 3rd July so sadly I will no longer be free to join your sessions.
I would like to express my thanks for the warm welcome and joy I received at Sharpham, be that the weekly practical work parties, the monthly rewilding sessions, the outing to Slapton Ley, the apple press day, the annual BioBlitz or the Christmas party, all were wonderful and so well organised. Your organisation will serve as a great example to me in volunteer engagement"
