Overview

Wednesday 19 February, 10am to 1.15pm

Help to create woods for the future!

You'll be making a habitat for wildlife and for the humans that come after us if you join us on this day to get stuck in.

Families and children aged seven and over are invited to participate, under the guidance of an expert ranger from our rewilding partners Ambios Ltd.

Plus drinks and biscuits are included!

NB: The tree-planting site is a 15-minute walk away and we'll be outside the whole time. You can go to the loo close to where we meet at the beginning of the day and wear suitable clothing. If the weather is very wet, we'll postpone the event and alert everyone who has reserved a place.

This day is for you if you:

  • are looking for an active family nature event in a beautiful, outdoor setting
  • are interested in making a difference through practical action
  • are interested in learning more about woods and how crucial they are for us, as our green lungs, and for wildlife

What should you bring?

  • a drink and extra snack (we will provide a hot drink and biscuit during the event)
  • sturdy but comfortable, waterproof walking shoes/boots
  • waterproofs / warm layers / hat depending on weather forecast
  • please wear long trousers with, ideally, waterproof trousers over the top for protection
  • please bring your own gardening gloves if you have them. We have children's gardening gloves that we can lend out, along with children's spades

Schedule

This event takes place between 10am and 1.15pm on Wednesday 19 February.
